Why you need to avoid the middle bathroom cubicle

A Study conducted by European Cleaning Journal.

Anyone who is squeamish about coming into contact with germs in the public washroom should choose the first cubicle in a row of stalls, according to research.

And the middle cubicle should be avoided at all costs since this will potentially be most people’s choice.

US celebrity doctor Mehmet Oz makes the claim that the first toilet in a row tends to be used the least, particularly by women. “Experts theorize that people tend to skip the first stall in favor of stalls further back to have a little more privacy,” he said.

“But because the first stall is used least often, it contains the lowest bacteria levels.” He says that rather than skip the first cubicle, we should opt for that one if we wish to avoid possible infections.

A study carried out by New York Magazine backs up Oz’s claim that the first cubicle is likely to be the cleanest. However, it adds that most people pick the middle cubicle when given a line of identical options. This is therefore the stall that is likely to harbor the highest levels of bacteria, claims the publication.

The study also reveals that when the middle cubicles are accupied women tend to choose a stall further away from the door – possibly to seek more privacy as Dr Oz Suggests. Men, on the other hand, opt for the closest stall or urinal when the middle one is unavailable.

How Many Portable Toilets Do You Need to Rent?

How Many Portable Toilets Do You Need to Rent?
For most people, the portable toilet is a part of big events or outdoor places, like national parks. In these contexts, it makes sense to have portable toilets as the event isn’t permanent, so permanent restroom structures aren’t called for. These aren’t the only places where portable toilets can come in handy, however. It isn’t uncommon for smaller events to also need portable facilities. Even a particularly large house party can benefit from an extra toilet or two. Basically, if you are planning an event where there will not be access to indoor facilities, or if the number of indoor facilities is too small for your estimated attendance, you should consider renting portable toilets.
But how many portable toilets should you get?
You have to take into account several different things when making this calculation. The first thing you need to decide is how many people, maximum, will be at the event at a time. If you’ve got 50 guests, you’ll need one toilet, if you have 100, you’ll need two, and if you have 1,000, you’ll need five. The longer the event, the more toilets you should provide. You can assume that your guests will need to use the facilities once every three or four hours. With smaller party sizes, one or two additional toilets will suffice, but with larger numbers, you’ll need to add considerably more.

You will need to modify this basic number with the following conditions. For example, you also need to consider how many women will be attending the event. You should be ready to add one or two toilets to your total needs to accommodate your female guests if they [...]

Chemical vs Steam Cleaning?

Steam vs. Chemical: What’s The Best Way To Clean Carpeting?
Several times a week we are asked ” What is the best way to clean carpets”
Carpet cleaning – best way to clean carpeting, steam or chemical, is an ongoing debate. There are many proponents and critics of each method so the only way to make the right choice for your home is to investigate both methods and find out what they have to offer. Then you can make an informed decision as to the best way to clean your carpets.
Steam Cleaning
Steam cleaning is also known as deep cleaning. That’s because it is the only carpet cleaning method known to remove at least 97 percent of dirt and bacteria from carpeting. It is also the only method that reaches all the way down to the lowest layer, or “pile”, of your carpeting to clean it thoroughly. This makes it the best method for dealing with ground in or difficult stains.

When it comes to carpet cleaning, the ability to deep clean is just one consideration. Since steam cleaning uses water heated to a very high temperature, it can take far longer for the carpet to dry after treatment. Depending on how good the cleaner’s extraction system is and how thick the carpet is, it can take 45 minutes to several hours. In some cases we have seen where carpets were still damp the next day. If you need access to your room quickly, then you might want to consider using another method of cleaning.
Chemical Cleaning
As the name suggests, chemical cleaning involves the use of a chemical solution to remove dirt from your carpet. Some of these solutions are called “dry” shampoos, [...]
